Andreas Bierwirth to Join Avcon Jet’s Board of Directors

Starting in September 2023, Andreas Bierwirth will become shareholder and CEO of Avcon Jet. He will lead the team along with Max Maruna, Roman Wiedenhofer and Michael Makarius. Alexander Vagacs will be the chairman and main shareholder of Avcon Jet.

With a fleet of more than 100 aircraft, Avcon Jet is one of the largest European business jet airlines. The company has its headquarters in Austria and is on a global expansion course with companies in Malta, San Marino, South Africa, Singapore, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates. The strengthening of the team in Europe with Andreas Bierwirth as a recognized aviation expert with international experience and a board member in expanding companies underlines the quality standards of the company. Avcon Jet is also a pioneer in the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

Andreas Bierwirth is a long-standing top manager with extensive experience as CEO and industry experience in the aviation, telecommunication and financial industries. In addition, he held various supervisory board mandates. Among other things, he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Do&Co AG and was until recently a Member of the Board at Easy Jet PLC.
